Role overview
The Software Engineer_Customer Support Focus serves as a critical link between customers and the engineering team. Your primary goal is to analyze and triage technical issues, support customer-specific requirements through custom development (such as integrations), and ensure technical challenges are routed efficiently to the right experts. By combining hands-on development skills with communication, this role ensures a smooth and technically sound experience across keylight’s platform implementations.
Key responsibilities
- Troubleshoot technical issues reported by customers, narrowing down root causes across APIs, data flows, or configurations.
- Analyze, scope, and triage incoming support tickets, escalating to product experts with clear technical context.
- Support customer-specific requirements in projects, including designing and developing custom integrations or technical extensions.
- Collaborate closely with solution architects and project managers to deliver on customer technical needs and ensure successful implementations.
- Maintain clear, concise internal documentation and contribute to knowledge base updates and support process improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-4 years of experience in backend development with strong proficiency in Node.js; experience with enterprise systems is a plus.
- Interest in frontend development with Angular.
- Familiarity with databases (SQL and NoSQL) and web server design.
- Solid understanding of the full software development lifecycle.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate across different stakeholders & teams.
- Proven ability to drive issues to resolution through proactive follow-up and cross-functional collaboration.
