Database Engineer
Responsibilities
- Gather database requirements and design solutions.
- Develop and maintain an efficient and scalable data architecture using relational databases, event-based data streams, caching, and other technologies.
- Optimize database performance through tuning, indexing, and query optimization.
- Implement backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Monitor database systems to ensure reliability, availability, and security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in a timely manner.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices in database management.
Database Engineer
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Database Engineer or similar role.
- Strong understanding of relational database management systems (RDBMS) such as PostgreSQL and MySQL.
- Experience in working with distributed data, microservices, and event-based data flows.
- Experience with database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with database administration tasks including backup and recovery procedures.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
